About
Who is Jessica T. Moore?
Jessica is an Author, Speaker, Show Host and Business Owner.
Early Life
Jessica Moore has had a heart of service since the age of 5. In her early days, she enjoyed being a member of the Girl Scouts of America. Every October, she helped patrol officers keep neighborhoods safe on Halloween Nights in Detroit. She trained as a junior police officer in middle school. In high school, she earned several awards in JROTC. Jessica continued her service in college as an AmeriCorps member, President of the Non-Traditional Student Association, and a member of the Black Student Association. All of these experiences gave her the skills necessary to be nominated and elected as President of the Parent Teachers Association at her daughter's school.
Career
Jessica graduated with her Bachelor's of Science in Psychology from Arkansas State University. In 2017, Jessica started her foster care support agency out of the trunk of her car offering support services and supervision to children and families in the foster care system. Her agency helps families with transportation, family supervision, behavior modification, case management, and she teaches teens important entrepreneurial skills that aren't taught in traditional learning settings. In 2021, her agency expanded to begin offering drug screening services to foster and birth families. She also teaches parenting classes, anger management, and goal setting techniques to parents of children who have been removed from their homes. Jessica, with the help of a few of her teenage clients, created a leadership training program to help child welfare workers more effectively work with clients and to increase job satisfaction. She is currently pursuing a Master's of Social Work degree at Georgia State University with a concentration in Child Welfare.
